“VIBRANT SENTINEL” — a 24x20 fever dream born from the unholy union of a client’s mythical obsession and my own artistic psychosis. He wanted a griffin. I gave him a griffin on acid.

For those of you who skipped mythology class in favor of passing notes or perfecting your eyeliner: the griffin’s a glorious Frankenstein — lion’s body, eagle’s head and wings, straight out of Ancient Greece and probably dreamed up by someone high on olives and existential dread.

But this wasn’t your grandmother’s griffin. This one came dipped in blacklight-reactive chaos, splashed with colors loud enough to wake the dead and bold enough to shout exactly what mattered to the client — in words, not whispers.

Sadly, this majestic beast has flown the coop. Off to whatever walls it now guards like a neon gargoyle.
